Carol was born and educated in England and came to Australia in 1987 as a
journalist. She still reviews books, music and plays, interviews authors and
teaches creative writing. She is working on a memoir and a novel.

Her articles have appeared in The Age, Australian Book Review, Australian Stage Online, Arts Hub, Canberra Times, Jacket Magazine, State of the Arts magazine and website, Honda: The Magazine, RACV Club News, Continuity, International Hospital & Aged Care Journal, Senior Scene magazines, Wilderness News, Juke and Backstage Pass.

Her many interests include Latin American & Ballroom dancing, Argentine tango and the ‘cello. She studied French at Newcastle University in England. Later in life she took up bass guitar and studied Contemporary Music at Southern Cross University, New South Wales. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Writing and teaches writing.
